Reservations & General Info

  • How do I make a reservation?

    Download our Metro Cars app to make a reservation, or you can make a reservation, 24/7/365, by calling 800.456.1701, then press 1.

  • Do I need a reservation to get a car from DTW?

    No, Metro Cars is curbside at all Detroit Metro Airport terminals, simply follow the signs to the Ground Transportation Center (GTC) where you will find the Metro Cars kiosk.   We will be there and at your service.

  • When at DTW, where do I meet my driver?

    If you require assistance with your luggage or want the comfort of knowing that a specific driver will meet you upon your arrival, then you will be met in baggage claim by our professional chauffeur with a sign displaying your name. This Meet and Greet service requires a reservation in advance and flight information. This service is offered for a nominal fee of $15.00.

     

    If you do not require any assistance or do not need to go to baggage claim, simply follow the signs to the Ground Transportation Center (GTC) in each terminal where you will find the Metro Cars kiosk.  We will be there and at your service.

  • How do I ensure I get a confirmation?

    After making an online reservation, a customer service representative will review your reservation. Your confirmation will be sent to your email on file. If you do not receive a confirmation after 30 minutes please call 800-456-1701.

  • Do you transport minors?

    Yes, we allow minors generally 12 years of age or older to be transported without a parent or guardian. The guardian must completely fill out and return a waiver to us before the trip can take place. To download a  waiver please click here.

  • Do you operate during the holidays?

    Yes, we are open 24/7/365. Promotional rates may not apply on holidays.

  • What airports do you service?

    Metro Cars is the preferred transportation provider at the Detroit Metropolitan International Airport and the Gerald R. Ford International Airport.

  • Am I able to get notifications on my reservation?

    Yes, the Chauffeur Direct Program allows you to receive email or text notifications such as 24 hour reminders and notification that your driver is on the way. You can set this up on our mobile app and in your online profile under email setup.

  • What areas do you service?

    Metro Cars is nationwide and can book your reservation in almost every city in the country. Give us a call at 800-456-1701 to see if we can book in your city.

Payment

  • Can I pay with a Credit Card?

    Yes, you can secure transportation using a credit card and pay cash or credit to the driver at the time of service. We accept:  MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.

  • Do I have to pay sales tax?

    The price quoted for each transportation service is all-inclusive.  It includes all necessary taxes and fees except gratuity.

  • Does it cost more if there is more than one passenger?

    No, our rates quoted are per vehicle, not by number of passengers in the vehicle.

  • Do you have gift certificates?

    Yes, Click here to order gift certificates or call us at 800.456.1701.  These are great gifts for family and friends traveling to and from the airport or just around town.

  • How do I get a receipt?

    Receipts are available online and may be accessed by either logging into your account profile or by searching with your confirmation number (Trip ID), the last four digits of the credit card used and passenger's last name. You may also set up your account profile to automatically receive receipts through email. Download our mobile app to find your receipt.

  • Who do I talk to if I have a billing issue?

    Our accounting department is available to assist with billing issues Monday - Friday, 9am-4pm. Please call 800-456-1701 and dial extension 551. You will be directed to a voice mail. Please leave a message and we will contact you shortly. All calls are handled in the order that they are received. Alternatively, you can email ar@metrocars.com .

  • Am I able to pay for a reservation in advance?

    Yes, you can prepay for your transportation including gratuity when you make your reservation instead of paying the driver at the time of service.

  • How do I set up a profile?

    You can download our mobile app and set up profile through there.

     

    If you're looking to set up a billing account to your profile, please contact our sales department.

Group Trips, Special Services

  • Do you have limousines?

    Yes, we have a variety of limousines to fit your needs -- ranging from 6 to 8 passengers in our stretch limousines, or 10 to 24 passengers in our Executive Vans and Limo Coaches. Find more information here.

     

  • Does Metro Cars have group transportation?

  • Does Metro Cars offer discounts for a night out on-the-town?

    Yes, please check out our "After Hours" program.  You can arrive safely to your favorite restaurant, entertainment or sports venue with one, low hourly rate. Hourly "After-Hour" rates start at 5pm until 5am; Sedans start at $44/hr and SUVs start at $55/hr. Download our mobile app to make a reservation. Certain restrictions apply.
