Here are answers to a few of the most frequently asked questions about the new Metro Cars. We hope this information will address the questions you may have as a new Metro Cars customer and also remove any concerns our loyal customers may have regarding their ongoing service.

Former Checker Sedan customers:
- My company has a contract with Checker Sedan; will my contract automatically transfer to Metro Cars?
Generally speaking, Metro Cars has agreed to honor the contracts already in place with Checker Sedan, including rates. Depending on the type of contract Metro Cars may need to ‘assign’ your agreement to the new company, we will contact you if your contract needs to be assigned or adjusted. If you have questions or concerns about your specific contract, please contact Jan Croft, Sales & Marketing Manager, at the number above. After your call is connected, follow the prompts by pressing 2, then 1, then ext. 234.
- I had a personal account with Checker Sedan, will my information transfer to Metro Cars or will I need to open a new account?
A new personal account will need to be opened with Metro Cars. Please call the number above, when your call is connected follow the prompts by pressing 2, then 2, to be connected to our Accounting Department, where you can request a Direct Bill / Credit Card Application.
- Will Metro Cars have the same rates for service as Checker Sedan?
No, generally speaking the Metro Cars and Checker Sedan rates were very close. However, due to our contract at Detroit Metro Airport, rates needed to be adjusted. Please ask our Customer Service Representative for your specific rate.
- How do I make reservations?
You can make or check on a reservation, 24/7/365, by calling 800.456.1701, then press 1. Or, you can make a reservation anytime on our website at www.metrocars.com.
- When I made reservations with Checker Sedan I always requested the same chauffeur. Did Metro Cars hire all former Checker Sedan chauffeurs?
No, Metro Cars did not hire all of Checker Sedans chauffeurs. You may inquire at the time of reservation if the individual is now driving for Metro Cars; if they are you may request them. We believe Metro Cars has the best chauffeurs in the industry, when you find one you particularly like feel free to request them in the future.
- Can I still get a sedan when I arrive at Detroit Metropolitan Airport without a previous reservation?
Yes, this service is referred to as ‘On-Demand’. Metro Cars is curbside at all terminals at Detroit Metro Airport, simply follow the signs to the Ground Transportation Center (GTC) where you will find the Metro Cars kiosk.

- Can I make reservations the same way I always have?
Yes, there have been no changes to the reservation process you have come to enjoy at Metro Cars.
- When I arrive at Detroit Metropolitan Airport, will I still have to meet my driver in a specific area near baggage claim?
The Choice is Yours! Metro Cars is the only company that can give you a choice, Carousel or Curbside. If you require assistance with your luggage or just want the comfort of knowing a specific driver will meet you on your arrival, then you will be met in baggage claim by our professional chauffeur with a sign displaying your name. If you do not require any assistance or do not want to go to baggage claim, simply follow the signs to the Ground Transportation Center (GTC) in each terminal where you will find the Metro Cars kiosk.
- Will there be any change to my company’s contract with Metro Cars?

- Is my personal account still valid?
Yes, all personal accounts remain intact, and all personal account numbers will remain the same.
- Will Metro Cars service rates be changing?
Due to our contract to be the Official provider of luxury sedan transportation at Metro Airport, our rates needed to be adjusted. Please ask our Customer Service Representative for your specific rate.
- Will Metro Cars still be offering group transportation?
All of the services you have come to rely on at Metro Cars are still in place and better than ever! Whether it’s a luxury sedan or limousine, executive bus or minibus, or even our executive motor coaches, Metro Cars stands ready to meet your transportation needs, from one person to several thousand.
